Delete your account

You can request deletion of your Kadhaishorts account and associated personal data at any time. We process every request manually within 7 working days.

What gets deleted

• Your account profile (name, phone number, email if linked)
• Your watch history, bookmarks, and reservations
• Device-session records used for sign-in management
• Any referral codes you generated or redeemed

What we keep (and why)

• Anonymised purchase records — we're required by Indian tax and accounting law to retain proof of completed transactions for 7 years. These are stripped of personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you after deletion.
• Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (e.g., total streams per show) — these never contained personal data to begin with.

How to request deletion

1. Email [email protected] from the email or include the phone number associated with your account.
2. Use the subject line Account Deletion Request so it routes to the right team.
3. We'll confirm receipt within 24 hours and complete deletion within 7 working days.

You can also delete your account from inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. The in-app flow triggers the same process and is the fastest path.

Questions or appeals

If you don't receive confirmation within 24 hours, or if you'd like to appeal a deletion, write to [email protected] and we'll respond personally.
